Best Ski Rental in Colorado: Our Christy Sports Experience
(The following content is sponsored by Christy Sports)
Our family of 6 had a fun skiing adventure last weekend. Everyone was looking forward to it. I will admit that I was a little nervous taking my four kids 10 and under skiing. The last time we went skiing, Aurora was not born and Amir was only 2. It’s pretty crazy how fast life flies sometimes.
But I did what I usually do for short trips, and packed most of our things the night before. This always gives me so much peace when I wake up because I know we just have to get ourselves ready and out the door.
We headed to Keystone Resort, which is about 1.5 hours from Boulder or Denver. It’s the perfect, short road trip for a mountain adventure.
On our way to go Keystone, we stopped at Christy Sports to grab our gear — we had a reservation. This is the best skiing gear experience we’ve had.
When we arrived, we headed upstairs to the rental area and were checked in as soon as we arrived. I thought I would have to get my skis last because I needed to explain to the kids how the boot should feel and ensure they got the right size. But no! The associates had it down to a science. They jumped right in and started asking the kids the right questions to get the process started.
When it comes to shoe sizes, I feel like a number never really tells the whole story for kids. Ice skates, skiing boots, and different types of shoes can generally fit very differently. So I was happy they measured and asked questions about comfort and fit.
They walked the kids through the process way better than I could have. And they didn’t hesitate to go grab another size in ski boots or another length of skis if they needed to.
The whole process was very efficient.
There’s also a store downstairs with everything from snow jackets and pants to gloves and mittens.
Our Christy Sports experience was amazing.
